The TOPENS DKR500ST Solar Electric Gate Opener comes with a STRONG 1/4 HP 180W DC motor that offers higher efficiency, low power consumption, and greater safety. The ultra-quiet automatic gate motor provides a convenient and comfortable life for your family.

Solar Power Supported

The gate opener is equipped with a 30W solar panel charging kit to charge the battery. You also have the option to add a 24V 12Ah automotive/marine type battery (NOT included) as the main/back-up power source. The energy-conservation solar powered system operates independently without AC electricity. Alternatively, the gate operator can also be powered by 110-120VAC electricity directly.

DKR500ST Features & Benefits

Smart Chip

The gate opener comes with an “auto-close” function to secure the property after you leave. It also includes a unique “midway mode” that allows the gate to open only a few feet for approaching vehicles. The gate stops in case of obstruction during opening and reverses in case of obstruction during closing. The stall force is adjustable to achieve the desired open/close obstruction sensitivity, with a higher stall force level offering lower obstruction sensitivity. Additionally, soft start and soft stop ensure long-lasting performance.

Simple Setting

The intelligent control board allows for easy switching of the open/close direction of the gate. The gate can open toward the left or right, and reliable electromagnetism limit enables easy adjustment.

TOPENS Remote Control

Featuring advanced TOPENS code technology, the remote control prevents unauthorized entry. Only TOPENS authorized remotes and wireless accessories are allowed to operate the TOPENS Gate Opener. The operation range is 65ft. (20m) and it supports up to 8 pcs on its own, with the option to support up to 250 with the TOPENS ERM12 External Receiver (sold separately).

Manual Release Key

The gate opener is equipped with a manual release key in case of power outage or when you lose your remote.

How to Power This Gate Opener? (NOTE: The CR2025 3V button cell batteries that come with the package are ONLY for the remote control.)

Power Mode 1 - Batteries as main power source

This mode requires the use of the included 30W solar panel and solar charge controller to charge the batteries. It is recommended for remote locations such as farms, ranches, pastures, etc., and requires an additional 24V 12Ah automotive/marine type battery (NOT included).

Power Mode 2 – By 110-120VAC electricity and back-up batteries

In this mode, the gate opener can be powered by AC electricity, solar panel, and solar charge controller to charge the batteries. It is recommended in locations where AC electricity is accessible but not stable.

Power Mode 3 - Use only 110-120VAC electricity to power the system

This mode is recommended for locations where AC electricity is accessible and stable.

Power Mode 4 - Use 110-120VAC electricity and back-up batteries to power the system

Note about the Gear Rack

The gear rack is made of steel reinforced with durable glass-fiber nylon, which is rustproof for long-lasting performance. The rack drive sliding gate opener works much more quietly compared with the chain drive gate motor. The package includes 12 pcs nylon gear racks, totaling 13 feet. ONLY the nylon gear rack reinforced with steel is compatible. Extra TOPENS original RNH2 and RNH4 Heavy Duty Nylon Gear Racks are available online. Keep the rack free from debris to ensure the smooth operation of the motor.
