It is specially designed to work in excessively hot, cold, and humid environments and requires no maintenance for outdoor use. The cable gland prevents water from entering the probe, ensuring a long-lasting performance. The wand operates within a working temperature range of 0°F to 120°F (-20℃~ +50℃).

It features a user-friendly design, allowing you to simply adjust the field area of sensitivity from 2 to 12ft. The package includes a 50ft long directly burial cable along with prewired weather-resistant wire and easy-to-follow instructions for your peace of mind.

Easy DIY Installation The installation for the TEW3 Vehicle Sensor Exit Wand is straightforward. It should be directly wired to the control board of the gate operator. The probe can be directly buried underground to save on unnecessary labor costs. No earth grounding is required, and the wand can be installed approximately 25ft away from the gate. Installation involves burying the wand 2” deep from the ground and 8” from the driveway edge. If extension is needed, a shield wire (size: 5 x 18AWG) is recommended. The wand should be installed away from any power lines to avoid interrupting detection signals. It is important to note that the sense range is affected by the size and driving speed of the vehicle. The TEW3 Vehicle Sensor Exit Wand is weatherproof and works in a temperature range of 0°F to 120°F (-20℃~ + 50℃). It should be installed further away from the gate if the gate operator system is only solar powered.

Wide Compatibility For TOPENS Gate Openers The TEW3 Vehicle Sensor Exit Wand works with most TOPENS automatic gate openers, but is not compatible with some models. It is also compatible with CASAR HJ4022 Swing Gate Opener and most Mighty Mule, Ghost Controls, and LiftMaster gate opener systems. The probe supports any third-party gate operator whose control board provides 12-24VDC or 12-24VAC accessory power and has a Normal Open & Dry contact signal input.
